2014 Topps Triple Threads Baseball. Factory Sealed 18 Box Hobby Case. 2014 Topps Triple Threads Baseball doesn't set out to change the world.

It takes the concept that's worked well with a lot of collectors in the past and, for the most part, sticks with it. Focusing primarily on hits, every master box comes with four low-numbered autographed memorabilia cards.

While the hits may be the big draw for most, 2014 Topps Triple Threads does have base cards. It's a 100-card set that includes numbered Amethyst, Emerald (#/250), Amber (#/125), Gold (#/99), Onyx (#/50), Sapphire (#/25), Ruby (1/1) and Printing Plate parallels. Like previous years, 2014 Topps Triple Threads Baseball boxes come with a pair of single-pack mini boxes.

Both mini boxes have three base cards, two parallels and two hits. The first has an autographed jumbo relic (#/99 or less) and a triple relic (#/36 or less). The second mini box has an autographed triple relic (#/99 or less) and a jumbo relic (#/36 or less). Rookies and Future Stars Phenoms Autographed Relics return featuring some of baseball's top young stars. Numbered as part of the base set, many cards will be considered official rookie cards. Like previous years, young stars who aren't rookies will also be included. All told, this subset has more than 50 cards, all numbered to 99. Parallels include Sepia (#/75), Emerald (#/50), Black Background (#/35), Ruby (1/1), Wood (1/1) and White Whale Printing Plates. Triple Threads Autographs (#/18) come with a bunch of different combinations. More than 75 players are featured, but the checklist has more than 250 cards.

It doesn't take much quick math to see that most players have multiple cards, each differing by the die-cut windows used to display the relics. While some players have a single card, others have up to five. These have five levels of parallels including White Whale Printing Plates.

No Triple Threads Autographs parallel is numbered higher than 9. Autographed Relic Combos (#/36) have signatures and memorabilia from three different players.

These have seven parallels numbered to 27 or less. Autographed Relic Double Combos (#/3) are book cards that have six autographs and swatches. One-of-one Ruby cards are the only parallels here. Jumbo Plus Autographed Relics (16 cards) and Letter Plus Autographed Relics (16 cards) are book cards that have two regular and an autograph on one side and a massive relic piece on the other. Cut Above Autographs (16 cards, 1/1) have an autograph, presumably a cut signature, from an all-time great alongside three relic pieces.

Dual Cut Above Autographs (six cards, 1/1) double things up with a pair of legend autographs and six total memorabilia pieces. Unity Autograph Jumbo Relics have a checklist that's bigger than the base set. Each has a large memorabilia swatch to go along with the signatures. Base versions are numbered to 99 while the five parallel versions are numbered to 75 or less. 2014 Topps Triple Threads has a couple of new autographed relics. Transparencies (20 cards) debuted in 2013 Topps Triple Threads Football. Numbered to 25, they come with a swatch and are signed on a piece of plastic that makes the signature visible on both sides of the card. Triple Threads Triple Hits (ten cards, #/10) have a checklist of big hobby stars. Final cards have an autograph, jumbo relic and a hand print. Too big for packs, these are distributed via redemption.

Triple Threads Relics (#/36) feature more than 50 players on over 150 cards. Each player has three different cards, each differentiated by different relic window die-cuts. Five levels of parallels are numbered to 27 or less.

Triple Threads Legends Relics (20 cards, #/36) follow a similar pattern, only with retired greats. Triple Threads Relic Combos (#/36) also have three memorabilia pieces, only these are from three different players. Triple Threads Relics Double Combos (six cards, #/18) are book cards with relics from six different players.

Jumbo Plus Relics (16 cards, #/3) and Letter Plus Relics (16 cards, #/3) are booklets that pair a massive patch or jersey letter with two other relics. Jumbo Letter/Number/Logos (ten cards, 1/1) are tri-panel cards that use a hat logo, jersey letter and a third jumbo patch. Jumbo Patch Combos (ten cards, 1/1) are three-panel cards with large patches from three different players. Bat Knobs and Bat Name Plates also appear, but don't hold your breath for.

There are ten knobs and 15 barrels across the entire product. All-Star Game workout jerseys get the spotlight in several rare relic sets. These include All-Star Patches (#/9), All-Star Jumbo Sleeve Patches Book Cards (1/1), Jumbo Sleeve Team Patches Book Cards (1/1), Jumbo Laundry Tag Book Cards (1/1) and MLB Silhouetted Batter Logo Patchcards (1/1). Every box of 2014 Topps Triple Threads Baseball comes with one single-swatch memorabilia card in the form of Unity Relics.

They may not have the high-end appeal of the rest of the product. Numbered to 36 (less for the parallels), their rarity helps. Also, swatches are a little bigger as well. The checklist has more than 275 different cards. Product Configuration: 2 packs per box, 7 cards per pack Target Audience: Hit Seekers, Autograph Collectors, Memorabilia Card Collectors.
